that the boss is going away for 3 months. HOOORRRAAAAYYY!!!! The bad news is that in the next 3 weeks he is looking around and trying to make that much work happen before he leaves.
Lars is going to be jumping through hoops and running in circles for a while, trying to make the Boss feel like a bunch of stuff is happening.
The best thing about the holiday season is that the business closes for the week between xmas and new years. I am so looking forward to the time off.

just keep moving, walk around with a piece of paper, talk on the phone while furiously jotting down notes, move things from one side of the room to the other, stuff like that ;~)
Optionally you could also actually get some work done, but not too much, you don't want to raise their expectations of how much you can accomplish.
