Maisie spent the weekend with her daddy Geoff at the Oregon coast, daddy Lars wanted a quiet weekend at home. She is always nervous about the waves at first but then finds them very interesting.
This was also her first "off leash" experience, hiding in the beach grass is apparently quite fun, and then pouncing on your daddy.

oh cute, nice dog... my dogs do the same diggin thing at the beach! but i dont know why!
My lips are sealed Totti.
it always gets me when i see how easy other people can drive to the seaside i wish i´d live somewhat closer to any ocean ... and what about guys with cats? Not attractive?
@ Zing, It is nice to have the coast only an hour and a quarter away. Portland is great that way, the same distance in the opposite direction takes you to the ski resort on Mount Hood, or if you go north to the vocano mount St. Helens.
Guys with cats are also attractive, cats just aren't as much fun at the beach ;P
Who do I envy more? You two for living in such a nice place or Maisie for having been taken to the beach? I just can't make up my mind. :-)
Definitely Maisie! She's one lucky pup.
That dog really is a cutie pie :) !
Thanks Judy, she's also a real character.
That's a really nice sheperd mix. What else was involved? Or is it one of the brand new "globalised" dogs?
Nice pictures anyway. At least there's a sandy beach to walk on. Nothing like that over here, but I am in the capital anyway.
(Maybe you should enter your website next time you're commenting at Jekylla. This blog is worth it.)
Pathaloge, as near as I can guess she has Australian cattle dog and red heeler in her. There are probably more breeds involved though. She was a puppy rescued from the warm springs reservation and could be just about anything.
I'll stop bt Jekys and see what's up. Thanks.
I just love your dog. What a beauty!
André
