Projekt Bett Teil I

First I've selected a pile of boards based on length. Since I'm using available materials I'm going to have to laminate to acheive thickness. There are 9 seperate elements to be taken into account so 9 x 3 pieces for thickness is 27 boards. The 2 side rails will be made from a single larger piece of oak that I have left over from the bedside table project, which can be seen here with the quilt project.
Next they all have to be surface planed to get rid of the bottom ridges and attain uniform thickness.

That's a lot of wood shavings.

Now a couple of passes through the tablesaw, safety attachments in place Basti, to cut off the tongue and groove edges.
Now, time to drink some beer and eat some dinner and think about the next step.

Danke Clamix, langsam lerne ich wie man sowas richtig tut, wie heisst es auf Deutsch, "Trial and error"? Das Herumprobieren?

Trail and Error is exactly the same in "german" we use english expression for all the things, where we do not have our own expressions e.g. "learning by doing" in german "Versuch und Irrtum" just sounds stupid ...
